Hamas’ vicious attack on Jewish communities near Gaza has torn families apart and displaced thousands of people. In the wake of this tragedy, every day Israelis have united and swiftly acted to alleviate suffering and provide support in whatever way they can. SPNI (החברה להגנת הטבע) immediately joined the civic effort and opened its doors to host displaced families from the South. Families were provided support, food, shelter, and nature educational programs free of charge. Our focus has been on offering assistance; costs have not been a priority. But as the crisis goes on, the SPNI will need more funding to continue supporting affected communities.
Nature Israel has partnered with our Israeli and American counterparts to ensure shelters will remain open and educational activities for families and children continue. We are asking for your help. Nature Israel is launching a campaign to raise $45,000 - enough funding to ensure dozens of displaced families seeking shelter at SPNI field schools can continue to receive educational programming for the next 4 weeks.
We also invite you to join our Webinar this Thursday, October 26, at 7:30 pm. We will share exclusive information from Israel's Foreign Ministry and additional details on how SPNI and Nature Israel have stepped up to help.
Your donation and support are greatly appreciated. On behalf of Nature Israel and all Israelis affected by this crisis - thank you!
